Wolverine Killed Captain America: Here Is How And Why

One of the major reasons why people have an interest in X-Men is Wolverine. He is the binding force that has kept the mutant team together, and generally, he happens to be the reason behind their victories in various battles. Now that Captain America: Civil War displayed the strengths of the Star-Spangled hero, a lot of fans have been debating about which one of these two would win a fight between themselves. They both belong to different cinematic universes as on date.

Captain America exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whereas the X-Men is still a 20th Century Fox property. Therefore, even if this battle might not place on the big screen, there was a comic story in the What If series, titled: Wolverine: Enemy of the State. In this comic, Wolverine is shown to be up against the whole Marvel universe.  Published in November 2006, this story was written by Jimmy Robinson and Mark Miller. It is often regarded as one of the best Wolverine stories ever.

During this destructive run, Captain America had previously tried stopping Wolverine, and that battle had resulted in the loss of an arm and the left leg for Captain. Now, Captain America is nestled in a protected location and tries to out-flank Wolverine. He was supported by some of his trustworthy friends who then tried to eliminate the danger posed by Wolverine.

Wolverine was forced to kill Magneto who aimed to freeze the adamantium skeleton of Logan. Hydra teleported Wolverine behind Magneto, and that caused a momentary lapse of concentration to him. Logan benefited from it and killed Magneto by quickly slashing through his body.

Kitty Pryde proceeded to kill Wolverine later, but, the damage was done. The devastation caused by Wolverine resulted in the killing of most of Marvel’s renowned superheroes, who were literally torn apart in many cases.

While the Super Soldier succeeded in outperforming many of his fellows, Wolverine is not someone you wish to mess with. Captain Rogers realized it too late.
