The Real Doomsday Didn’t Die In Batman v Superman: Zack Snyder

The Real Doomsday Didn’t Die In Batman v Superman: Zack Snyder

In reply to a question whether the nearly invincible Superman villain was destroyed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the movie’s director Zack Snyder remarked on Vero, “yes the real doomsday is out there still.”

In that movie, Doomsday was unleashed by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) who used his own blood, General Zod’s corpse and Genesis Chamber technology picked up from a crashed Kryptonian ship. Therefore, the actual Doomsday is going to be a genetically engineered demon from Krypton.

The monster created by Luthor fought with the trio of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman before being killed by Superman in a suicidal attack. However, Superman was later resurrected in Justice League.

This revelation from Snyder comes on the heels of his April revelation about the Robin costume seen in the Batcave during Batman v Superman, not belonging to Jason Todd, rather, contrary to the common belief, it is believed to belong to the original Batman sidekick, Dick Grayson. It is not possible for us to say whether Snyder planned to bring in the “real” Doomsday in a later film, but, now that he is not a part of DCEU anymore, Doomsday’s revival seems unlikely.
