DC Comics came into existence over eight decades ago with the arrival of the Superman. The Caped Crusader from Krypton was then followed by the Dark Night of Gotham City aka Batman and the Amazonian Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman in the next few years. DC became popular among the readers and it was not long before the Marvel Comics entered competition with their range of superheroes.
They are two of the world’s biggest comic book publishers today and have vast legions of fans all over the world courtesy of their respective cinematic universes. It is quite a regular thing to see fans debate on the subject of Marvel vs. DC. They go on for hours discussing the best hero, most evil villain, best superhero team, best costume and so many other things. There is a great deal of thought given to crossovers between the two brands. What if the Justice League came across The Avengers? Will Batman beat Iron-Man or will it be the other way round? Such conversations become heated topics and then there are the forever adorable superhero couples.
After the fans get done with all the same brand pairings, they start thinking about inter-brand romances. Thoughts about Batman hooking up with Black Widow or Barry Allen meeting Jubilee come up. Courtesy of the steadily expanding list of superhero films and TV shows, fans have started imagining famous actors as the superhero characters and teams. There is a lot of interest in Bruce Wayne pairing with Natasha Romanoff, especially in the form of Christian Bale and Scarlett Johansson. Fans now have internet as a tool to display their imaginary Marvel/DC crossover romances using fan art. Take a look below!
